Outsourcing technology support is a common business consideration these days. SMART’s Technology Teams can guide you through the assessment process and determine the benefits and drawbacks to a specific outsourcing arrangement. We have performed many outsourcing assessments for organizations, including data centers, call centers, application development, application support, and project management. To assess the potential benefits appropriately, it is important to understand the current business need and consider the long-term business plans; the outsourced solution must be able to accommodate the potential future state.

In addition to assessment services, SMART provides application support through its SMART Production Services (SPS) group. We can fill a temporary or long-term support need. Often, the SPS group is utilized to help transition application support from the implementation team to internal resources. Clients may not be able to assume complete support at the end of an implementation but do not need (or desire to pay for) a full-time support resource. SPS can design a support plan to meet a specific need; they can analyze the actual support provided over a few months and modify the contractual arrangement to reflect reduced needs over time.
