SMART PROVIDES LEAD GIFT OF $50,000 FOR FALL SPECIAL OLYMPICS FESTIVAL

SMART Business Advisory and Consulting, LLC, has presented Special Olympics Pennsylvania (SOPA) with a gift of $50,000.  The funds were raised through SMART’s annual golf tournament held at Overbrook Country Club.  Since 2003 SMART has raised over $270,000 for Special Olympics organizations. 

SMART is the premier sponsor for SOPA’s Fall Festival held at Villanova University (Nov. 2 – 4, 2007) and this tournament was the first major fundraising event to benefit the 2007 Festival.  The Fall Festival is the largest collegiate run Special Olympics event in the country with over 1,000 athletes and 2,000 volunteers.

“We are very proud to team with Special Olympics to enhance the opportunities and quality of life for the athletes and their families,” said John J. Swanick, SMART’s Senior Managing Director who is the chair of the annual golf tournament on behalf of SMART. “Our goal is to help as many athletes as possible and to recognize each athlete as a champion.”
