DIRECTOR JOINS SMART IN NEW YORK CITY

New York City, June 14, 2007 – SMART Business Advisory and Consulting, a global consulting and advisory firm with a major presence in New York City, today announced that Clifford Dias, CMC, has joined the company as a Director in the Business Consulting practice.  He will be based in the firm’s New York City office.

An expert in public finance and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC), Dias brings more than 19 years of experience working with public sector entities and international organizations in the areas of process re-engineering and systems integration.  Among his specific areas of expertise are organization strategy and redesign, strategic sourcing, shared services, activity based costing, information technology assessments and operations audits.

Dias’ prior experience includes work at Deloitte Consulting and KPMG Consulting (Bearing Point).  He has also served as a deputy budget director for the New York City Housing Authority along with other senior positions with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and New York City Office of Management and Budget.

A graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Dias holds multiple graduate degrees including a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Masters of Science in Management and Policy.  He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering, in India.
